Valtravieso Finca Santa María 2023

Valtravieso Finca Santa María 2023 is a red wine with Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, produced by Valtravieso Bodegas y Viñedos.

It is made from two grape varieties: 98.5% Tinto Fino, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon and 0.5% Merlot, it is a young, aromatic and very versatile wine, where the red fruit and its volume stand out.

Elaboration

The varieties are produced separately in stainless steel tanks of 10,000 and 20,000 kilograms, with the aim of keeping the properties of the grapes intact.

The fine ink, which is used for the production of Finca Santa María 2023 , enters the tank for carbonic maceration.

Subsequently, cold pre-fermentation maceration takes place - at 10ºC - for around six days to completely extract all the aromas and sweet tannins. The fermentation process lasted for 10-12 days at 24-26ºC, continuing with a skin maceration for another 12 days.

Malolactic fermentation was carried out with selected bacteria at controlled temperature. Prior to entering the barrel, the wine was clarified naturally with two rackings.

Aging was completed for six months in French and American oak barrels. Afterwards it remained in the bottle for two months.

• Nose : the predominant aroma of the wine is fruit. Notes of cherry are perceived accompanied by a soft balsamic sensation.
• Palate : It stands out for being a wine with a lot of volume in the mouth. It has a balanced acidity and a very powerful red fruit flavor. A wine that stands out for its youth.

The red wine combines perfectly with tapas, starters and white meats. It is recommended to serve at 16ºC.
