Tomás Postigo 5th year 2018 made with the Tinto Fino variety, accompanied by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, it is only produced when the vintages are exceptional, as this one has been.

It is a fleshy and tasty wine with extraordinary aging potential.

The Tomás Postigo winery opened in Peñafiel in 2008, after the winegrower concluded his time at Pago de Carraovejas. Its objective is to produce wines of the highest quality in Ribera del Duero since 1984.

PREPARATION AND AGEING

Tomás Postigo 5th year 2018 begins with the manual harvest of the different plots. In the winery, all the movement of the grapes is by gravity, without pumps, and the destemmed and whole grapes arrive at the tank, where they ferment with native yeasts.
The aging has been for 12 months in French oak barrels, resulting in 35 different wines depending on the origin of the grape and the type of barrel, this wine being the blend of all of them.
