Tilenus La Florida 2019

Tilenus La Florida 2018 is a red wine made with the 100% Mencía grape variety and with the Bierzo Designation of Origin.

Made by Estefanía wineries, it is a winery founded in Valtuille de Arriba and Pieros. Estefanía is named after the grandmother of its owners, the Frías brothers, founded in 1999.

Preparation and aging

Tilenus La Florida 2018 is a single varietal Mencía (100%) from "La Florida", an old glass vineyard with a steep slope. The soil is clay with pebbles, at an average altitude of 650 meters. The limited production of this estate allows it to show its personality and the particularities of each vintage.

It is made in stainless steel tanks, aged for 12-14 months in French barrels. Once bottled, grapes remain in the bottle for a long period of time.
