Terras Gauda 2023

This Terras Gauda 2022 , made with albariño, caiño and loureiro, has surprised us with its complexity, it is fleshy and velvety, with a powerful structure and very pleasant to drink. A great white wine.

Bodegas Terras Gauda was founded in 1990 in the O Rosal Valley, in the Rías Baixas with the aim of producing wines of the highest quality from noble varieties, vinified according to tradition.

Preparation and aging

Terras Gauda 2022 belongs to the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin, more specifically to the O Rosal area. Made with 70% Albariño, 18% Caiño and 12% Loureiro.

The harvest is carried out manually, and the grapes are transported in 20 kg boxes to avoid premature breakage of the grains before reaching the winery.

The different varieties are vinified separately. They are first cold macerated, remaining in contact with the skins to extract their delicate aromas.
Fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts from the vineyards themselves.

Finally, a “coupage” of the different varieties is made and it is cold stabilized until it is filtered and bottled.

Tasting Note of Terras Gauda 2022

• View: Terras Gauda has a straw yellow color with slight golden reflections. Clean and very bright.
• Nose: Clean, defined, expressive nose, with high aromatic intensity in which white, stone fruits, and citrus fruits stand out, combined with balsamic, floral, and slight herbaceous notes.
• Palate: A pleasant entry into the mouth, with volume, it is fleshy, with a creamy finish and with a marked acidity, integrated and defined that gives a lot of freshness to the whole. Long finish, with notable persistence and fruity character with saline hints.

Pairing

Appetizer, salads, duck, grilled seafood, seafood in sauce, blue fish, grilled white fish, spicy fish stews and stew.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 8ºC.
