Elaboration
Tequila 1800 Añejo is produced from blue agave that is harvested between 8 and 12 years old. Once it reaches its maximum point of maturation, it is bottled at the La Rojeña distillery, in western Mexico. Subsequently, it undergoes double distillation and ages in French and American oak barrels for at least 14 months.

History

The first licensed tequila manufacturer was José Antonio Cuervo from Jalisco (Mexico) in 1758. A few years later the production of tequila was prohibited, until the prohibition was lifted in 1795 and from there 1800 Tequila was born, the year in which The tequila was very successfully aged in wood.
The Cuervo 1800 Tequila is the original, until in 2004 they introduced the Silver, Añejo and Reposado.
