Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort is an alcohol-based liqueur of American origin macerated with fruits and spices, smooth and pleasant. The original recipe, from 1874, contained American whiskey, although it is currently made with neutral alcohol.

In the United Kingdom it is very popular, and is usually consumed with lime.

Sazerac Company is the current owner of Southern Comfort, having acquired the original company in 2016.

Southern Comfort is produced by Fratelli Branca Distillerie, which in 2018 was awarded the Liqueurs Producer of the Year distinction at the International Spirits Challenge, the most prestigious awards in the sector worldwide.
