San Roman 2020

San Román 2020 is a red wine made with 100% Tinta de Toro and with the Toro Designation of Origin.

Made by Bodegas San Román located in the province of Valladolid, with more than 100 hectares of vineyards in Toro.

Preparation and aging

San Román 2020 is a single varietal of the Tinta de Toro variety, a typical variety of the DO Toro. The grapes come from different plots planted with old 45-year-old vines at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level.

The soils on which these vineyards are planted are stony and sandy, with a clay subsoil from which the plant extracts water in times of drought. The climate of this area is continental, with little rain and a lot of sun, there is also a great thermal contrast between day and night, which favors the ripening of the grapes.

Each plot is vinified separately, to respect the characteristics of each vineyard and analyze the evolution of each grape.

San Román is aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, barrels renewed 20% every year.

Tasting Note of San Román 2020

• View: San Román has a cherry color with a purple rim.
• Nose: Aromas of red fruits such as raspberry, notes of licorice and mineral character.
• Mouth: With a fruity flavor and ripe sweet tannins, with a silky palate. The black fruit is very present.
