Havana Club Añejo Especial Rum , produced by the Havana Club distillery, is a unique rum with a caramel flavor, thanks to double aging in selected young white oak barrels.

Havana Club is a rum brand created in 1934 by José Arechabala in Santa Cruz del Norte (Cuba). The brand was nationalized in 1960 after the Cuban Revolution. Starting in the 1990s, it became a joint venture between Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government, establishing itself as the Havana Club Internacional consortium.

Elaboration

Havana Club Especial is aged twice to achieve a rich and smooth flavor. Mix young and old rums to achieve a perfect balance. After the initial blend, it is double aged in younger white oak barrels, which are selected by Havana Club's Cuban Rum Masters.
