The Barceló & Co distillery was founded in 1930 by Julián Barceló, born in Mallorca. In 1980, Miguel Barceló created Barceló Imperial.

Barceló Imperial Rum is made taking care of the smallest details to obtain a perfect mix of flavors and aromas that involve the finest alcohols. Two decades after its launch, it was awarded by the prestigious Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago as the best rum in the world, being the first rum to obtain the highest score, 97 points out of 100.
