Bacardi rum was born in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba. After the Cuban Revolution, the company moved to Puerto Rico.

It is the largest distillery in the world.

Elaboration

Facundo Bacardí Massó was the first to intentionally age rum to achieve a specific development of aroma and flavor, aging the rum for a minimum of twelve months in lightly charred American white oak barrels that offered Bacardi Rum an optimal degree of maturation.

Today Bacardi Superior white rum maintains the excellence of that first rum created in 1862.

Bacardi Rum is matured for a minimum of 18 months.

Tasting Note:
Color: water white; shiny and polished.
Aroma: light vanilla and fresh apricot.
Palate: woody herbs, soft nuts; almonds and marzipan. Soft, aromatic and delicate flavor.

The notes of vanilla and almond are intensified thanks to the oak barrels. Its unique softness also stands out due to the mixture with charcoal.
