Protos Verdejo 2023 is a white wine with good body and structure.

Preparation and aging

Protos Verdejo 2022 is a single-varietal Verdejo grape from vineyards located in the province of Valladolid. The vineyards face south to make the best use of the hours of sunshine for proper ripening.

It is made with grapes harvested at night and manually in 20 kilogram boxes, with a subsequent skin maceration for 4-5 hours at 10ºC on the skins. Pressing in inert atmosphere and static settling at 10ºC. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 13.5ºC. Aged for 2 months on fine lees.

The climate of the area is characterized by large temperature changes between summer and winter, with frosts that reach 18 degrees below 0. In addition, there are also large temperature changes between day and night, which favors the correct ripening of the grape.

• View: The Protos Verdejo white wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and is very bright.
• Nose: Powerful and fruity aromas, presenting aromas of apple and tropical fruits, notes of tropical fruits and white flowers.
• Mouth: Round, fruity, balanced, complex and with good acidity. Slightly bitter finish.

Protos Verdejo is ideal to accompany appetizers, vegetables, fish rice, complex salads, pasta with fish sauce, white fish in sauce, Asian cuisine, grilled seafood and soft cheeses.

It is recommended to consume at a temperature of 8ºC.
