Muga Reserva Selección Especial 2020, made with Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano, seems to us to be a wine with nerve, body and great structure.

Muga is one of those few wineries in Rioja that has managed to combine the most absolute family tradition with a renewed vision of the future, which has allowed them to maintain a unique character and personality in their wines.

Preparation and aging

Muga Reserva Selección Especial 2020 is a blend of the varieties 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo, 3% Graciano. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in oak tanks. Aged for 26 months in barrels made with selected oaks in our cooperage. Prior to bottling, clarification is carried out with fresh egg white.

Once in the bottle, it will undergo a refining process for at least twelve months in our winery.

• View: Muga Reserva Selección Especial has a high and uniform color with purple iridescence very much in the meniscus of the glass, without the slightest sign of oxidation.
• Nose: It preserves the character that defines this vintage: fruits in the link before the dominant ripeness that is accompanied by liquor perceptions that we only find in this wine compared to the rest of the range of this vintage. The tertiary notes appear in the form of some leather and very faint notes of clove and scrub.
• Mouth: Almost chewy fruit, sweet and silky tannin, gentle acidity and infinite mineral notes. The synergy of these sensations creates a very powerful impact on the taster.
