Muga Crianza 2020

Muga Crianza 2020 is a reference Crianza made with a 'coupage' of classic Rioja varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano. Powerful and balanced.

Muga is one of those few wineries in Rioja that has managed to combine the most absolute family tradition with a renewed vision of the future, which has allowed them to maintain a unique character and personality in their wines.

Preparation and aging

Muga Crianza 2020 is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo, 3% Graciano. Aged for 6 months in American oak vats and for 24 months in 225 l American and French oak barrels.

Subsequently, it rests in the bottle for another 12 months. Clarification with fresh egg white. Once in the bottle, a refining process is carried out for at least 12 months in the winery.

• View: Muga Crianza has a cherry red color.
• Nose: In the still glass, defined and very dominant black and red fruits are perceived (blackberry, currant, wild plum). We move the glass and thin leathers begin to unfold intermingled with the fruit. In the background, and only as an accompaniment, select oak spices are displayed, still distinguishable, but in close conjunction with the wine.
• Palate: The entry into the mouth is the most outstanding of this vintage: juicy, meaty, dominant, broad, mineral, structured, elegant... no more qualifiers. Despite everything, it is in an incipient state of integration, we find slight tannic appendages that will be rounded in the short term.
