Melior 2023

Melior 2023 is a fresh and cheerful wine with elegant tannins and a good presence of ripe fruit. Its finish is long and persistent.

Wine made by Matarromera, a company present in six DOs Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Cigales, Toro, Castilla León and Rioja, in all of them with high-end wines and international recognition.

Preparation and aging

Melior 2023 is a single-varietal Tempranillo. The grapes come from Pago Villabuena's own vineyards, planted on soil with a loamy-sandy-clayey texture at about 800 meters above sea level. Melior remains 6 months in new American oak barrels and 6 more months in the bottle.

Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature and in a controlled manner.

Tasting Note of Melior 2023

• View: Melior has a layer of dark cardinal and purple tones. It appears clean and bright.
• Nose: Notable complexity of primaries, of ripe red fruits from the range of strawberry and raspberry, well assembled with tertiary spices from aging, highlighting aromas of coffee, licorice and vanilla.
• Mouth: Voluminous and intense body, yet cheerful and fresh. Notable mid-palate, with important sweet tannins. Important fruit sensations, between touches of clean wood, with a long and persistent finish.

Melior is ideal to accompany barbecues, soft meat stews, cheeses and sausages.
