Mauro 2022 is a red wine with Designation of Origin PGI Castilla y León (Spain), produced by Bodegas Mauro.

It is a wine made mostly of Tempranillo (90%) and a small percentage of Syrah.

It is considered one of the essential wines in the Spanish wine scene.

Elaboration

Mauro 2022 is a wine whose grapes grow in light and balanced soils, and are then distributed in tanks depending on the type, state and production area of ​​the grapes. Once the artisanal winemaking process is finished, they are deinked into French and American oak barrels for 16 consecutive months.

Bodegas Mauro was founded in 1978 and since then it has been characterized by producing high-quality red wines with aging and limited productions.

The properties of its wines are in balance and sensuality, accentuated by the identity of the terroir. They are modern wines but with roots, where tradition and the way of making are the perfect combination.

The 80 hectares of vineyards mainly grow Fino Tinto and Syrah, on light and easy to work soils, limestone or clayey-calcareous, depending on the plot. The average age of the vineyard is between 25 to 35 years , with yields of 3,000 to 5,000 kg per hectare.

The climate is continental with Atlantic influence, which causes large thermal changes between day and night.
