Martini Rosato is a vermouth made from a base of blended white and red wines. After a maceration of selected ingredients, among which you can recognize cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon, to finally distill them and bottle the product.

Brand

MARTINI , the Italian brand that arrived centuries ago to surprise the Mediterranean country and the entire world. Alessandro Martini , a businessman, and Luigi Rossi, a liquor expert, decided in 1863 to embark on a journey together creating their first vermouth: MARTINI Rosso. A drink that remains on the market today.

Starting in 1864 , they made use of the fields of Pessione, a town located about 20 km southeast of Turin. The Turin-Genoa train line was fundamental for the expansion of the company, which is why future generations have remained in their traditional production company in this small town. Furthermore, it not only spread throughout Italy, but in 1884 it opened branches in Buenos Aires, Geneva (1886) and Barcelona (1893).

The original MARTINI recipe is a very well kept secret. Their vermouths blend Trebbiano wine from Emilia Romagna and Catarratto wine from Sicily, along with the highest quality botanicals. The idea is to choose aromatic herbs, fragrant fruits and exotic woods to combine them in different quantities and forms to produce “dry-mixtures”.

Land

In the hills of Asti, in Piedmont , is where the sparkling wines used by the brand appear in 1850. From that moment, they decided to locate their winery in the area, specifically in Santo Stefano Belbo. The market captivates some 300 producers, many of whom have been working for years harvesting White Muscat.
