Marqués de Cáceres, and especially its founder Enrique Forner, revolutionized the concept of Rioja wine in the 1970s with a business model focused exclusively on quality.

Preparation and aging

Marqués de Cáceres Crianza 2019 is made with the Tempranillo (85%), Graciano and Garnacha Tinta (15%) grape varieties. After selecting the grapes, the woody part is separated to avoid herbaceous flavors and the must with the skins is placed in stainless steel tanks to carry out fermentation. During this process, pumping over is carried out and the grape skin is removed. The temperature is 25º. The second fermentation is carried out to transform malic acid into lactic acid, with an important modification of the organoleptic character of the wine.

The wine spends 12 months in French (60%) and American (50%) oak barrels for 12 months and between 10-12 months in the bottle.
