Mar de Frades 2023 is a wine of tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple and a reminder of the sea. A fresh and fruity wine.

Mar de Frades, in Spanish, Mar de los Frailes was born in the heart of the Val do Salnés, cradle of Galician albariño, in 1987 following a path parallel to that of the DO Rias Baixas.

Preparation and aging

Mar de Frades 2023 is a single-varietal white wine from Albariño. The harvest is carried out manually and once in the winery the grapes go through a strict table selection process, where up to 20-25% of the harvest can be discarded. The grapes macerate between 10 and 20 hours and after light pressing, a clean and very aromatic must is obtained.

Fermentation is carried out slowly at a controlled temperature.

• View: Mar de Frades has a bright lemon yellow color with some golden reflections.
• Nose: Medium intensity on the nose in which the fruit stands out. Green apple, grapefruit and grape along with saline memories, white flowers and wet grass.
• Palate: Tropical fruits appear again, mineral, saline and very refreshing.

Pairing

Mar de Frades is ideal to accompany very spicy dishes such as Sushi, Pad Thai, Di Sum or Mexican meats. It also pairs well with fish and seafood.
