Description
Macán Clásico 2020 is the result of the agreement between Vega Sicilia and the Barón de Rothschild winery, to produce a great Rioja in the riverside style of Vega Sicilia.
Preparation and aging
Macán Clásico 2020 is a single-varietal wine made with Tempranillo grapes, from owned vineyards located in the town of Labastida.
After careful selection of the grapes and alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels (30%) and stainless steel tanks (70%). The aging takes place for 15 months in fine and extra-fine grain French oak barrels, the majority in new barrels and part in one-year-old barrels.
