Malibu Liqueur

Description

Malibu Liqueur is originally from Barbados, made with a natural coconut extract with a low percentage of alcohol, which makes it ideal for making cocktails.

Pernod Ricard has been present in Spain since the late 1970s, when it established itself in the Spanish market through the production and distribution company PRACSA (Pernod Ricard Antich Cusenier).

Elaboration

Malibu Liqueur is made with a base of white rum and natural coconut extracts to give it a different and very distinctive touch. It is mainly used to prepare cocktails, such as pina colada. Its origin is on the island of Barbados, in the Caribbean Antilles, in 1980. At first it was made with different fruit liqueurs, as well as coconut, but the best known and sold version is the coconut one.

Malibu Liqueur Tasting Note

  • View: Malibu Liqueur has a transparent color.
  • Nose: Clear liquid texture, a little denser than a normal rum but slightly greasy due to the coconut oils.
  • Mouth: The palate is soft and fresh, with a sweet nutty and coconut flavor, as well as a gaseous touch, due to the coconut oils and extracts. Sweet ending.

Consumption Recommendation

Malibu Liqueur can be taken as an aperitif or to make various cocktails, among which the piña colada stands out.
