La Montesa 2020

La Montesa 2020 is a Crianza made with Tempranillo, Grenache and Mazuelo with a lot of aromas such as ripe fruit, it is pleasant and velvety.

In Alfaro, in the eastern Mediterranean Rioja, and with the passion of the great Alvaro Palacios at the helm, the Palacios Remondo winery produces wines that are very committed to their origin.

Preparation and aging

La Montesa 2020 is a classic La Rioja wine but with some more modern features. The Montesa Palacios Remondo scrupulously takes care of the entire process with the tradition that gives them their great career in the world of wine. Wine with a marked Mediterranean character.

Made with our own vineyards that are more than 34 years old. Manual harvest. Once destemmed, the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation naturally in stainless steel tanks with periodic pumping over. Maceration for 35 days and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Aging for 12 months in a very careful selection of barrels. 85% are made from French oak and 15% from American oak.

Tasting Note of La Montesa 2020

• View: La Montesa has an intense garnet red color. Clean and bright. Good tear.
• Nose: Intense aromas with subtle floral aromas, especially violets, which are accompanied by marked red fruit and herbaceous notes. As it opens, the mineral notes take center stage, accompanied by good toasts from the aging.
• Mouth: With a wide entry and a silky palate with floral and creamy sensations. Ripe tannins. Long, slightly bitter finish. A pleasant wine to drink.
