Jim Beam
Description
Jim Beam bourbon is of North American origin (Kentucky) and was created in 1795 by Jacob Beam.
Elaboration
Jim Beam whiskey was born at the end of the 18th century, when the settlers of Kentucky distilled corn whiskey . The distinctive amber color and rich flavor was discovered when a batch of corn whiskey was aged in new white oak barrels that had been charred inside.
The production of bourbon begins with the grinding of corn grains (must consist of at least 51%), rye and malted barley, turning them into a very fine flour that will then be cooked with pure water from the limestone springs of Kentucky.
Jim Beam is differentiated not only by the careful selection of its ingredients, but also by its longer cooking at moderate temperatures.
This produces an always smooth natural grain flavor. After brewing, the distiller pumps the mixture into a fermenter where it is melted with new yeast and yeast developed over 60 years ago from Jim Beam's private reserve.
