Finca Rio Negro Gewürztraminer 2022

Finca Río Negro Gewurztraminer 2021 is a dry white made entirely with the Gewürztraminer variety. We found it fresh, persistent and very aromatic.

At the end of the 90s the Fuentes family decided to start the Río Negro Wineries. This is how he made his dream of making one of the most unique wines in Spain come true, recovering the winemaking tradition of the area.

Preparation and aging

Finca Río Negro Gewurztraminer 2021 is a single-varietal Gewürztraminer, a grape native to central Europe that more and more Spanish wines use. Coming from four and a half hectares of its own land planted in 2005 and cultivated on trellises using the simple Cordón Royat system, the Finca Río Gewürztraminer grapes grow on soils with limestone bedrock, with a first clay layer and presence of boulders. Already in the winery facilities, the Finca Río Gewürztraminer grapes are allowed to macerate in a filmy way for 20 hours and then the yolk must fraction is devatted. A fermentation process is then carried out at 16º temperature.

Before final bottling, this wine ages for 4 months in stainless steel tanks.

• View: Finca Río Negro Gewurztraminer has a golden yellow color with greenish edges, very attractive, bright.
• Nose: Wine of very high aromatic intensity, exuberant, very complex. Very accentuated floral notes, terpenic, combined with various fruit notes: peach, pineapple, green apple, pear, presence of citrus, surrounded by the amoscatelada notes typical of the variety.
• Mouth: Dry, complex, fresh wine, with lively acidity at the beginning of the mouth that turns sweet on the palate, where it is very unctuous, fatty, full-bodied, silky, very long. The aftertaste is fresh, very intense and persistent.

Finca Río Negro Gewurztraminer 2021 is ideal to accompany delicate cheeses and dried fruit, roasted vegetables, meats such as chicken, duck and pork, and spices and herbs such as cloves, ginger, curry and Sichuan pepper.
