El Rincón 2018

El Rincón 2018 is a Crianza from the DO Madrid with a daring and interesting blend of Syrah and Grenache that has not left us indifferent, tasty, friendly and with a powerful structure. Very interesting.

Bodegas Pagos de Familia Marqués de Griñon is a family winery, owner of this estate since 1292, producing Pago Wines seeking a differentiated personality and gastronomic pleasure.

Preparation and aging

El Rincón 2018 is made with 97% Syrah and 5% Garnacha varieties. The vineyards are on high trellises that allow excellent leaf lighting and irrigation and fertigation systems through underground drip. Management based on deficit irrigation using digital sensors. Manual harvest followed by destemming and unloading using peristaltic pumps into the fermentation tanks.

Prolonged maceration of up to four weeks and aging in new and semi-new French Allier oak barrels for ten months. The wine is not fined or filtered.
