Description
El Prohibido is one of the most personal wines of Raúl Pérez, one of the most innovative winemakers in Spain, in the Miño area. It is made with Mencía and Sousón.
Finca Millara Bodegas y Vineyards, in the Ribeira Sacra area, has medieval origins, and seeks its signs of identity in that tradition and respect for the grape.
Preparation and aging
El Prohibido is made with the Mencía and Sousón grape varieties. Aging lasts 6 months and occurs in stainless steel tanks. It subsequently spends 4 months in French oak barrels. Finally, once bottled, it rests for 6 months before going on the market.
Tasting note of El Prohibido
- View: The Forbidden is cherry eye color.
- Nose: Aromas of red fruits and floral touches.
- Mouth: Silky and sweet with good acidity and a long and persistent finish.
Pairing
El Prohibido is ideal to accompany red meats and sausages.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature of between 15-17ºC.
