Description

Diamante Blanco is a wine made with Viura and Malvasía grape varieties. It is the most consumed aperitif wine in Spain.

Bodegas Franco-Españolas is one of the great wineries in La Rioja. Founded more than two centuries ago, it has adapted to the trends of each era without giving up its personality.

Preparation and aging

Diamante Blanco is made with Viura and Malvasía grape varieties. Cold maceration of the must in contact with the grape skins and pulp during the first days. Fermentation takes place in contact with the grape skins and pulp during the first days.

Fermentation is stopped in order to obtain the natural sugars that contribute to this wine, one of its greatest peculiarities: its slight sweetness.

The average fermentation temperature is approximately 19ºC . Being a CVC wine (a group of several vintages) it is made up of specific wines from different vintages that the technical department assembles over time.

It is bottled throughout the year and remains in the bottle for a minimum of three months before going on the market.
