Cueva del Chamán 2021 is a red wine with Denomination of Origin Almansa (Spain), produced by the Santa Cruz de Alpera winery.

The wine is made from Garnacha tintorera and is considered an organic wine. Enjoy this tasty wine with a long finish.

Elaboration

La Cueva del Chamán 2021 goes through a traditional winemaking process with grape destemming, fermentation in rotating horizontal tanks. Afterwards, the wine is placed in 300-liter French oak barrels to remain in them for at least 4 months.

• View : Purple-red color with a high layer of color.
• Nose : Reminiscent of wild red fruits, currant and blackberries, mixed with a smoky tone caused by the French oak barrels.
• Palate : Sweet entry, with a balance between acidity and sweetness reminiscent of red fruits. Garnacha tintorera achieves a powerful flavor and a long wine.

Consumption recommendation

It is an ideal wine to accompany beef, game and aged cheeses. The service temperature is 15ºC.

Appellation of origin

Side . It was founded in 1966 , it was considered the benchmark for many wineries and vineyards, although over the years they disappeared. Currently, there has once again been a boom in the creation of wineries in Almansa , driven by the wonderful climate and soil that manage to produce high quality wines. The DO Almansa wine production area includes plots and subplots located in eight municipal areas, with more than 7,000 hectares of vineyards. They range from the Levant to Castilla, where the main difference between the territories is the altitude. In the Levante we find vineyards located 400 meters above sea level and in Almansa at 700 meters.

The climate of the Denomination is continental , with high temperatures, rainfall below 350 mm annually, with low fertility soils. All these characteristics manage to produce wines with very high aromas and color intensity.
