Champagne GH Mumm Cordon Rouge

GH Mumm Cordon Rouge is a French champagne made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier.

It is made up of more than 77 Crus, all unique. Georges Hermann Mumm is the man behind the emblematic cuvée of this house, the GH Mumm Cordon Rouge.

Elaboration

GH Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne is composed of grapes: Pinot Noir (45%), giving it structure and strength. Chardonnay (30%), which gives it finesse and elegance and the fruity, lively and round appearance of Pinot Meunier (25%)

Pressing and vinifying each strain and each cru separately allows us to obtain a wide palette of aromas and sensations. 25 to 30% reserve wines are added to provide complexity to the final champagne.

In 1876, to better capture the spirit of quality of its champagnes, it decided to decorate its bottles with a red silk ribbon, in reference to the Royal Order of Saint Louis and the Grand Cordon of the Legion of Honor.

The success is immediate: a symbol of GH Mumm's excellence and know-how, the Cordon Rouge cuvée has since become a true world reference.

Tasting Note of GH Mumm Cordon Rouge

• View: GH Mumm Cordon Rouge It is a very bright golden yellow color and has abundant, fine and elegant bubbles.
• Nose: Aromas of fresh ripe fruit (white and yellow peach, apricot) and tropical notes (lychee and pineapple). After a few moments, it reveals a vanilla aroma and then opens onto notes of caramel, breadcrumbs and yeast; culminating with nuances of nuts and honey.
• Mouth: An explosion of freshness in the mouth, followed by intense persistence. The complexity of the aromas of fresh fruit and caramel prolongs the intensity.

Ideal for an aperitif. Also perfect to accompany white meats, fish or fine charcuterie.
