Description
Antonio Barbadillo Castillo de San Diego is a young white wine from the century-old Antonio Barbadillo winery, made with Palomino grapes.
Bodegas Barbadillo was founded in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) in 1821, the year in which the first manzanilla was bottled.
Preparation and aging
Antonio Barbadillo Castillo de San Diego is made with Palomino grapes and is said to be the first White Wine produced in Andalusia. The grapes come from the Gibalbín and Santa Lucía Vineyards in Jerez Superior, which are 20 years old and have Albariza soil.
Fermentation at a controlled temperature at 15ºC in 400,000 liter stainless steel tanks for 12 days. Native yeasts selected by the winery.
